48 Special Models added the superbe 21st Century Display Models  to its E-shop range. Here are some additional information on these excellent Display Models we could not add to the shop pages, due to limited space.

US M3A3 Halftrack in winter camouflage (Ardennen) Sold out!

Sideview of the M3A3 Halftrack The additional spare parts included Front view. The frontshield can be lifted and the sights adjusted. The tarpauline packs are removeable and the mount can be folded up. The cowling can be opended and gives view on the engine. All doors can be opened and the benches too. Below them is stowing space. The cal. 0.50MG is turnable and the ammo box can be opened. Also inclosed are two cal. 0.30MGs on lafettes, 5 rifles and an automatic rifle. Sold out!

The M3 A4 Half Track of the US-Forces was present on all war places during WWII. The 21st Century Model in 1/18 scale shown here comes in winter camouflage, as to be seen often in the Ardennes . The model  assabled completly. Only MGs and some spare parts need to be mounted on.  The wheels and tracks move and are made from rubber. Like on the original  all doors and hatches can be opened. There is an engine mock up underneathe the cowling and the shields can be opend and closed too. Even the sights are adjustable! Besides the soldier figure, with two different sets of arms for driver or gunner position and removeable helmet, a lot of different spar parts belong to the model too. All MGs are mounted turnable on there laffets. Besides 5 rifles, 12 mines and two tarpauline packs come with the model. The model comes in a display box, mounted to a display plate fixed with screws.

Modellers who miss something on this highly detailed model are free to add more detail on there own. What is great on these models is they are not avaliable as kits in this scale at all and would be as expensive whitout beeing built too. So all models are made from plastic and be fixed with screws or superglue, they can be easiely disassambled and converted or detailed even more! A profi modeler will convert this model to a superior masterpiece easiely. The soldier figures are of the same size like for example the commander of the Tamiya King Tiger RC-Tank. Which means they are almost the same scale. Eather 1/16 or 1/18 scale? How ever they can be shown side by side with other models in 1/16 scale whitout sowing the difference to much. The enclosed soldier figures are of high quality in design and painting and need not to be redone. Who dislikes the moveable armes and legs may glue them in position and paste the seams with putty. Most customers will like the model like it comes from the box and who hasn't the skill or time to modify the model gets a great model for a great price!
